It's beautiful; does not look like a mistake at all!

"When life hands you lemons, make lemonade" as the saying goes, and you did just that. I love it!! No one but us QB members will ever know there was screaming involved..

ScrapQuilter 07-14-2012 06:30 PM

Yes yes! Creativity burst is exactly what you had! I love it!

You've made a new design - looks great!

I once took a cooking class in New Orleans and the chef said, "If you start out making one thing and it doesn't turn out like you planned, CALL IT SOMETHING ELSE!" Your quilt is fabulous. You should sell the quilt pattern as you've developed it. Most creativity just HAPPENS! It's a beautiful quilt!

This looks great and your fix was a good choice. Nice colors, great gift.

Now i was stuck had this huge blank space in the middle and really no desire/time to rip out all those seams - i remembered the great Dresden plate thread i'd looked at on QB just last week. I had just enough of 4 of the fabrics. I think it turned out OK..and no one will ever know - well...except anyone who reads this - and my husband who heard me scream.

I think your quilt looks gorgeous. All quilts are unique. No one will ever know that it was not what you intended all along.
You do beautiful work!

You think it turned out ok. I think you should pat yourself on the back at least a million times. This is awesome. Sometimes a mistake leads to greater outcomes. Would not have been nearly as interesting if the stars had ended up in the center.:D

You just made a one of a kind quilt-It is a lovely fix-I could never have done that!!

mamajack3 08-29-2012 06:14 PM

Sometime mistakes make the best solution. I really like this and it looks like it was designed that way.

Jammin' Jane 09-27-2012 10:00 AM

That dresden plate....what a life saver!!! :)
