Good Job, I would have never noticed the points. So don't tell. Love the colors.

This was my thought as well. Great color combo and great quilt. I think that elusive 'scant' 1/4" will get you closer to having the point showing. You want to have 1/4" past the tip of your point in order to not lose them in the next section of piecing. Frequently I will cut a bit larger and trim down to avoid this issue.

I think it's beautiful! Love your fabric choices. Don't sell yourself short - don't point out, no pun intended, any missing points. Unless you plan to have your work judged, a slightly nipped point won't be noticed by others. There's an expression, "Finished is better than perfect" - although yours looks great to me.

It's a lovely quilt. So pretty. And I honestly wouldn't have noticed the points if you hadn't mentioned it.

I like the red and cream palette I wouldn't have noticed the points either.

nativetexan 02-01-2017 07:01 PM

Nope, you didn't. that was a design element!!

I think you did a wonderful job on it. I agree with this pattern, the points don't matter. Don't tell anyone and most people would not even know to look at the points.
