I decided to give you a shot of my quilt it does have some issues I lost my points

PaperPrincess 02-01-2017 03:34 PM

like the color combo. from the photos, your points all look pretty good.

tessagin 02-01-2017 03:37 PM

Don't tell anyone. Looks great!

Tartan 02-01-2017 03:40 PM

Looks good! Some of my piecing is pointless too.

sewingsuz 02-01-2017 03:44 PM

Your quilt is beautiful.

popover 02-01-2017 03:46 PM

Not that bad on the points. Next time just watch that 1/4 inch a little closer.

Jingle 02-01-2017 03:49 PM

Beautiful, points are overrated.

Cam's gram 02-01-2017 03:55 PM

Looks really good!

QM 02-01-2017 03:57 PM

Definitely don't tell anyone. The blocks look good and probably no one will notice. Being somewhat lazy, I tend to pp things like that to avoid the problem.

QUILTNMO 02-01-2017 04:27 PM

you did a nice job!!!

toverly 02-01-2017 04:28 PM

Good Job, I would have never noticed the points. So don't tell. Love the colors.

newbee3 02-01-2017 04:29 PM

thanks to all of you

fred singer 02-01-2017 04:45 PM

This was my thought as well. Great color combo and great quilt. I think that elusive 'scant' 1/4" will get you closer to having the point showing. You want to have 1/4" past the tip of your point in order to not lose them in the next section of piecing. Frequently I will cut a bit larger and trim down to avoid this issue.

peaceandjoy 02-01-2017 05:30 PM

I think it's beautiful! Love your fabric choices. Don't sell yourself short - don't point out, no pun intended, any missing points. Unless you plan to have your work judged, a slightly nipped point won't be noticed by others. There's an expression, "Finished is better than perfect" - although yours looks great to me.

Doggramma 02-01-2017 06:01 PM

It's a lovely quilt. So pretty. And I honestly wouldn't have noticed the points if you hadn't mentioned it.

zozee 02-01-2017 06:20 PM

I like the red and cream palette I wouldn't have noticed the points either.

lynnie 02-01-2017 06:20 PM

you are being to hard on yourself. nice design

nativetexan 02-01-2017 07:01 PM

Nope, you didn't. that was a design element!!

RedGarnet222 02-01-2017 07:23 PM

I think you did a wonderful job on it. I agree with this pattern, the points don't matter. Don't tell anyone and most people would not even know to look at the points.

quiltingshorttimer 02-01-2017 07:50 PM

Nice quilt and no points??? I have a series of quilts I made that are my "no stinking points" quilts!

soccertxi 02-01-2017 08:02 PM

the pattern in the fabric hides the points anyway. I think it looks great! Love the pattern and the color palette!

BrendaK 02-01-2017 08:17 PM

No you didn't. It's just a another design element. I have one like that with cut off points. Since the points are cut off on the same blocks you can say that's the way you intended it to look. Because it looks GREAT. BrendaK

rryder 02-02-2017 03:22 AM

Pretty quilt. your points work just fine with this pattern.

Homespun 02-02-2017 06:56 AM

Looks good from here!

JuneBillie 02-02-2017 07:33 AM

It's a beautiful quilt, so what's your point? :D
I couldn't resist, because it is so pretty.

red-warrior 02-02-2017 07:39 AM

Looks good to me and if you don's tell most people will not notice!

Granny9 02-02-2017 08:22 AM

Is that the Quadilful quilt from MSQC? I tried that block, lost all points, contacted them was told that's the way they designed it. Beautiful quilt.

Jordan 02-02-2017 11:59 AM

Looks good to me! love your fabric choices and no one will know about your points unless you tell them. Sure looks nice.

Watson 02-02-2017 12:54 PM

It's beautiful, pints or no points.

Watson

newbee3 02-02-2017 02:05 PM

yes I followed the tutorial from MSQC

Mombygrace 02-02-2017 04:16 PM

I love the colors and pattern.

Lilrain 02-02-2017 04:27 PM

Looks very good. I wouldn't worry about t he lost points, pretend it is how you planned it.

pewa88 02-02-2017 04:56 PM

Beautiful quilt. Love the colors. BTW, there are NO quilt police, that is a myth. Points are overrated.

Mariposa 02-02-2017 05:21 PM

Nice looking top!

I agree! Love your quilt! No sharp points make the petals softer and more like flowers, makes sense to me! I would do that on purpose next time! Love your colors and everything about your Beautiful Quilt!!!!!

jmoore 02-03-2017 03:17 AM

Pretty fabrics in your lovely quilt. Once you know what your troubles are, you just try to improve on them next time. I am constantly learning in my quilting journey.

Wanabee Quiltin 02-03-2017 03:29 AM

Your quilt turned out really pretty, don't worry about those points.

twinkie 02-03-2017 05:38 AM

I think we all learn by our mistakes. Overall the quilt looks good. Someone will love it.
