Dorothy of Kansas 02-08-2009 11:34 AM

If it's the picture I think it is (my cats still show up when I look at my avatar-I've been trying to change it!) that's my youngest grand daughter, who will be 6 months old next Friday!! I babysit her Mondays through Fridays and she's so much fun!

Knot Sew 02-08-2009 12:18 PM

Your work is beautiful! I can't wait to see the blue star block all put together! And that grandbaby is adorable--lucky you, to have her all week long!

Marcia 02-08-2009 01:03 PM

Your quilts are wonderful and I love your star block!!

It's funny because the avatar I see is a quilt on a bed-not a baby and not cats!!

littlehud 02-08-2009 02:40 PM

Very nice. Love the Lover's Knot and that star block is beautiful.

sewnsewer2 02-08-2009 03:48 PM

sandpat 02-08-2009 03:53 PM

Wow Dorothy!! I see the cutest baby smiling in your avatar and then I see a really cute Christmas panel quilt, a fantastic lover's know and a block that I hope I get on of for the Blue/White Star! It is for the swap, isn't it?? They are all great....but the baby beats them all on the Wow factor

Janstar 02-08-2009 05:06 PM

Nice work on the quilts and block and your avatar is adorable!

Dorothy of Kansas 02-08-2009 05:54 PM

Yes, that's my block for the swap. I figured there would be so many fantastic blocks that your eyes may need a place to "rest" It was fun and pretty quick to make. I got it from Quilters Cache, but modified it so that only one star actually showed.

Machel 02-08-2009 06:07 PM

I love the quilts.

barnbum 02-08-2009 06:31 PM

Margie :)

Dorothy of Kansas 02-11-2009 06:23 PM

I'm training her now to become a quilter. I prop her car seat in my sewing room so she can see what I'm doing! I usually sew after she has left or while she naps and on the weekends.

Margie 02-11-2009 06:25 PM

she is absolutely beautiful...GOd bless her.....what is her name :)

Margie

Dorothy of Kansas 02-11-2009 06:27 PM

Her name is Kaley Carnell Tucker and she has a smile that makes my day!

Hi,

IN my book you have the hard part done. Take your time and enjoy quilting them.

Joan 02-14-2009 07:57 AM

Your grandbaby is beautiful. I'm finding it's lots more fun being a grandparent than a parent, aren't you? I love the Lover's Knot quilt, I gotta' find that pattern and add it to my "to do" list--so beautiful!

Mplsgirl 02-14-2009 08:27 AM

That is one cute little girl! And I love the blue and white star.

RedGarnet222 02-14-2009 08:35 AM

Perfect for valentines day! The fall colors are really cheerful in that setting, pretty!

Barbm 02-14-2009 09:38 AM

blocks and quilts are great- but that baby- she needs to pack her bags and come and play at my house! I would hug and kiss her and smooch her and rock and read books and play..........

I love babies!

Evelynquilts 02-14-2009 11:28 AM

The pattern for the Lover's Knot is from Quilt-in-a Day, by the same name. She has updated the book and a new one is out. I used her old book, which is now out of print. I plan to buy the new one, to see what she has in it. They really work up quick, only four colors, including your background color. Here are two more that I have made recently. The green one is for my son and his wife, once I machine quilt it!
