Great quilt and that polka dot binding is the perfect finish! It looks huge too.
thank you everyone and a big THANK YOU to Jeanne for posting a picture for me.
the whole quilt is appliqued to the border, the only sane way I could figure out how to border it. I was not going to add a few more rows of black. to crazy for me. a big thank you to CHarisma for the quilting. really added to it this one took me about 2 yrs. i'd work on it for awhile and take a month or two off. the other one, which is 1" the GFG, quilted by Charisma also, took 2 months, day and night to do. It's also about twice the size of this one. this one is 3/4" hexies. Thanks everyone for the compliments, and to Jeanne for posting and Charisma for quilting. the other one just needs the binding, so that will be posted in about a week. |
Stunning quilt..
Great finish. I love the black border it just makes those flowers "pop".
Can you please tell me how you attached the border? |
My, My, My, how beautiful this work is. I absolutely love it. You have outdone yourself, Lynnie.
Awe Wow Lynnie, it is soooo beautiful! Love the border fabric and the binding, so glad you kept the hexie shaped edge, that's how I like them. Can't see cutting all that hard work for a straight edge! LOL! Can't wait to see the other one too, I'm still addicted to them!
I keep the hexies as they are, and applique them down to the border.
sorry, thought I was answering with a quote, someone asked how I do the borders, they are appliqued down to the border.
Absolutely gorgeous!!
