Oh my!

Does anyone remember the show "Murphy Brown"? She made the comment her 2 year old could do better. I can't remember if it was her or someone else that took the 2 year olds art and displayed it. It was a big hit. The critics loved it. They didn't know a 2 year old did it!
I agree, we are too hard on ourselves. I think we stifle our imagination with perfection. Okay everyone - go forth and create your very own masterpiece! Thanks Maria! |
must have been done AFTER happy hour!

Thanks for bringing things into perspective. I will have to lighten up on myself.

I wonder if they got a QWI? (Quilting While Intoxicated??????

No quilt is perfect. Especially not mine. But I can live with it. (My quilting is a little better than the pic though. ) :-D

When I started my commercial embroidery business, I too was very critical of my work. I quickly learned to keep my mouth shut and let the customer point out the problems as I saw them. Had VERY FEW say anything and if they did it was something totally different from what I was fussing about. Lesson learned. Most of the time they gushed about how wonder, how great, etc. and all I could worry about was what I perceived as my boo-boos.

I'm no artist or even a qualified art critic, but that..........? Makes my work not look so bad.

Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder, she must of liked it and was ok with it. But as for me, I'm sort of too hard on myself.

All I can say is WOW...
