Made Shaving Kit for my son
3 Attachment(s)
Maybe some of you will remember the fabric I used to make a messenger bag for a friend. Well, there was some left over and my son needed a new shaving kit. I lined the inside with a light weight vinyl so it could be wiped up if anything spilled in it. I used soft and stable for the stabilizer. Great stuff. The pattern is Ditty Bags by Annie. What do you think? I love it - think I will make myself a bag as well.

Thanks everyone for the encouragement. If you have never tried "soft and stable" for your bags and totes - give it a try - you won't be sorry.

Thank you for posting the photo and showing the inside. I am putting this on my list for Christmas gifts for my 2 sons....and make-up pouch for my daughter.
I have never sewn with vinyl. What type of Foot did you use? If you have any tips, please let me know. Thank you! |

Now just how cool is that!! Did you have a special pattern? That would make great gifts for the male members of my family. Looks like it would work out just right for a makeup kit as well. and appears to be washable.

It would be a great bag for either men or women. We all need bags for stuff! This only took one day to complete so line up those names for Christmas and start your machines.... Just had a thought - you could probably use that PUL fabric for diaper liners, bibs etc instead of vinyl. |
