1 Attachment(s)
Found this pattern on lyn browns site and gave it a try. Still have to add borders but thought it was good for spare 5ins squares.

Love the pattern and the colors. It's so lively and interesting. Great job.
What a wonderful quilt, very bright colors and interesting design.
Love the colors! The black really makes the other colors pop.
love the brightness, care to share how you did the blocks. they look like you did a quickie on the blocks?
Oh I really like that!
I really like that! The black & white ties everything in so nicely!
I really like this!
Terrific quilt! Love the pattern!

Lynnie It is just an ordinary disappearing 9 patch done with 5 ins squares with a black in center and colours in corners and white in other places. Cut in usual way down middle and across center. Leaving you four squares 7 ins cover each of these with a 7ins square of a coordinating colour or whatever you like and draw a diagnol from corner to corner (not through black ) When that is done you have 2 different looking squares and trim to 61/2 ins place in order. Hope this makes sense to you. If not PM me and I will help if I can.
yes, perfect for those squares. nicely done
I love it!

Great looking quilt.
Very pretty. I love the bright colours. Yes, the black and white really pull it together, but I'll bet that it would be a terrific scrap buster too!
Really bright and cheerful!
I love this! Some of the blocks look like butterflies. This is definitely going on my to-do list

Love your colours -- very lively. I'm making a similar pattern for the MSQC Iron Quilters challenge. Here are four blocks arranged on my design wall. Haven't decided on the final arrangement yet for all of them as the purple ended up being a bit strong and I'm going to have to balance it out. It's a great easy and quick to work up pattern.

Very pretty, I really like it!!!!

Thank you for your kind remarks. I am at borders today so will post when finished. Trying to decide what colour to use for the 5 ins finished border. The little black and white squares really look good although I'm sure there is an easy way to do them so just sewed each set of two together.

Great job. Lovely pattern. Thanks for sharing.

Love your pattern! This looks like what I need for one more quick quilt for Christmas! Thank you :)
That is really terrific and your color choices turned out great! Love it!

I just checked out Lyn Brown's pattern. Thanks for letting us know where to look. While her colors are very nice, your scrappy look and fabric choices are ever so much better!
Love it, love it, love it.
