So happy your mom got her beautiful quilt!

Your throw is beautiful. Your story made me cry. The only present she gets is from you. My 90 year old father is in a memory care unit of an assisted living place - fancy name for a locked unit. His dimenia is so bad, he has to be locked in the unit. Fortunately, I have a daughter, her son, and a family friend who remember my father with gifts, along with myself. I also have a brother, but that's a whole different story. I'm happy your mother has you.

Oh it's lovely. i hope that woman's son goes out and buys her something in place of that quilt! Nursing homes and therapy places tend to have things taken often. I even embroidered my Sister's name in her quilt and it got stolen anyway!

I know.............I'm thinking of making her a "replacement quilt".

I am so glad your Mother finally got the gift. But have a question. Why did the the nurses open mail to your Mother?See what happens when you arent looking. My Mothers shoes disappeared an never found.

Actually, that is a wonderful story, most don't have a happy ending when it comes to missing quilts.

You made a wonderful quilt!
