No, I have never done any beading. I am pretty traditional. 100% cotton and all that goes with that, but I'll ponder this idea.

What a fun quilt! The picnic is in my backyard - bring your eggs and I'll have some hot dogs and tea ready.

How funny. Good for you for thinking outside the box. It will generate lots of conversation.

This would make a neat wall hanging, right above the

kids when I wanted to add a new veggie in the future to
their diets. It worked!!
Some of the time.

How do you make German Deviled Eggs? do you have a recipe?
Instead of mustard in the American way, I use Ranch Dressing. Does any one else make them this way?

Mandie 06-02-2010 09:55 PM

I love it!

Loving it :D Such a clever idea

Janis, I always make my devilled eggs with Ranch, too! Plus minced garlic, bacon bits, dill pickle, and finely minced purple onion. Can't forget the little sprig of parsley on top! I don't eat them, can't stomach the white, but I do like the yolks (done my way!), which I don't need! I get requests for these for parties, so I guess they are good! The Ranch dressing seems to make the mix so much creamier.

Once you start beading, you will own as many beads as you do fat quarters. LOL I really love beading on wall quilts or art quilts and you may too.

Wow! You make gormet deviled eggs!. I printed your response and will have to try them your way. I'm not a mustard person, so I like the Ranch Dressing in them. Thanks for your recipe.
