I am making a quilt which appears to be a 100" square tray holding 23 deviled eggs....there were 25 eggs, but two were grabbed off the tray while you were carrying it from the kitchen. The first picture is of a few of the eggs on the background fabric...just testing the look. The background fabric is a hostas print. Also I attached a drawing from Electric Quilt 6 of the quilt as it will look when done. Currently the quilt status is--the 23 yolks are all hand appliqued onto the egg whites. Now the egg whites need to be appliqued onto the 73" square of hosta background fabric. I matched up two 73" lengths so you can't see the "joining" rather than have cut out 25 - 15" squares. I really wanted it to look like a tray...not a quilt.

Design wall...yep, I like the eggs on the background fabric

Very good idea, I love eggs just about any way. I could eat several each and everyday.

What a cute idea!! I'd like to copy your idea and make a small wall hanging for my daughter's family. My SIL loves Devided Eggs. My grandson started helping me peel the eggs when he was about 2. He did a great job, but wanted to eat the egg once he got it peeled! Would you mind if I made a small wall hanging of your idea?

What a cute idea! The cook must have ate one before setting the tray with them because 25 is an odd number. :) (always an even number of deviled eggs since you get two from each egg).

You must do a better job of peeling eggs than I do! I always have some mess up, and have one half of an egg that isn't fit for filling, so it at least has to be eatten.... and then you have to try one to make sure it's good, and then...............

Wow, I love off the wall patterns. And I absolutely
LOVE German Deviled Eggs!! Make them all the time.
This would make a neat wall hanging, right above the
table. I used to do this as a silent mental nudge for my
kids when I wanted to add a new veggie in the future to
    their diets. It worked!!
    Some of the time.
