I used 4 and 1/2 in squares with 3 in squares I wanted to have more color showing. you can do it in any size you want to do them in.the larger your small squares are , the less of the large square will show. Does that make sense?

NInnie, it was really hard to match up the four triangles on the blocks into squares for this beginner.
How would you quilt it by hand? I mean what typr of pattern would you go with? panda |

I hope you don't mind me asking for tips on how to do the scrappy corners. I use this method to make snowball blocks. No matter how careful I am to mark the diagonal line and sew on it, the corner pieces are sometimes' off '--a bit too small or a bit too big.. Do you have any tricks for making sure they are accurate? Hope I explained it clearly enough. ranger |
