Making lemonade

I'm having to rethink my love affair with cast iron pots as a really did my back this time trying to put one in the oven. I was totally sidelined for 5 days. What did I do? Hand sewing. I powered through the last dozen interior blocks for the Jane Stickle Quilt. Now I can start the exterior triangles. Only 56 more. Oh Joy. Progress. Ouch.

Looking great! I have learned to adjust some tasks that used to be easy. I vacuum one room a day instead of the whole house, I rotary cut a bit at a time, I use a little step ladder instead of a chair for reaching the top shelf and anything heavy I wait for help. This getting old stuff isn't for sissies.

I just ordered a stainless steel pan to use instead of my cast iron. The cast iron got too heavy for my wrists. The new pan has two handles so I hope that's a help.

You made great use of your time! It's beautiful.

(Off topic, Mary Katherine. You were displaced by a hurricane and were in temporary housing, weren't you? If this is the correct person, I hope you're settled and happy.)

Wow! That's a LOT of work you've done there.
Looking really good.

Ditto for me too. I wouldn't have even gotten 1 block finished.
