We've been watching news reports non-stop. The floods are just devastating. We have family in Ipswich so have been really worried for them. They're OK, but sadly, so many are not. I'm happy your'e not affected and hope that other board members in the area are OK too.

The city is virtually shut down. Son works for QUT (university) next to the river and he and his son have been working the last couple of nights pumping out water and sandbagging. Unfortunately some of the buildings have a lot of water in them. It is going to take years to fix everything, thousands of homes have gone under and city buildings affected and lives have been lost. To think this time last year we had a severe drought. Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers.

Your projects are lovely. So pleased you are high and dry. The Brisbane flooding as well as elsewhere is just devastating. Have a daughter in Brisbane at present and she is high and dry also.

She recently moved to Rockhampton from Brisbane but had to come back to Brisbane for business. She was not effected in Rockhampton but can't return back there yet for another week or more when the road s open again.

I am in Northern NSW and we are safe from any flooding also.

Yes, they are but not close to us. We are 1 km from the Richmond River, but are on a rise so no threat here. The Richmond Valley is not in flood but we have lots of rain for 2010 and also 2011 so far. We are just not used to the sun anymore.
