Just beautiful! I love that pattern and you've used it in an original and absolutely stunning way! Can't wait to see the turtles on the sand!

Beautiful quilt! I admire your use of color. I have a huge rack of batik fabrics that I hesitate to cut into. I guess I just need to bite the bullet and start to use them.

Gorgeous quilt! Love your batiks and color placements. Can't wait to see the turtles when finished. Please post pictures.

What a great quilt this is turning out to be! The layout thus far is definitely beachy and tropical; the turtles will be the icing on the cake. Can't wait to see it when finished.

Oh I Love it; it is on my bucket list of one to do. Love the teals.

great quilt and color placement. I see your sticky notes to identify your rows. That's what I do too. The "sand" color choice is a great touch.....

This is one of those designs that I find so intriguing and fascinating. You did a great job with the colors and the piecing. I think the addition of the turtles will be fabulous. I look forward to seeing the completed quilt.

Looks great really like this pattern and how you laid out the colors.

Never saw a storm at sea like that, it is really beautiful!

Jill, that's gorgeous!
About a month ago I bought the pattern and 2 Deb Tucker rulers. At the moment I can't think of what any of them are called but it's supposed to make the pattern easier.
I can't wait to make it.

Lots and lots of piecing!! I really beautiful accomplishment.

That quilt/colors and your idea is just too cool. Love it!

Thanks, Susie. I only used the diamond rec ruler, but others have said the square in square ruler is great, as well. I would suggest that you starch your fabrics really well before cutting, and stay organized with ziplock bags or something. After the first few blocks, it became much easier, and I actually really enjoyed piecing this! Give me a holler if you need any help! :)

I love that!
Beautiful colors!
This pattern is on my short list to do this year!

Jill, yes, that's the other ruler I bought. Thanks so much for your offer. Right now I'm not sure I can concentrate on something like that but I'll give you a holler :) Tks

I absolutely love it. When I get caught up, I am going to have to make one. I have been meaning to forever.
