Pattern is: 8x8 squares for top and backing, 6x6 squares for between the top and bottom, sandwiched the back, batting, and top together, sewed a criss cross pattern corner to corner to secure the three layers, plunked down the squares in a pattern, sewed each row together, and then clipped with my spring loaded clippers. Washed, dried, and voila! ( that's 'There you go' in French LOL). Oh, yes, I also went to Missouri Star and checked out their youtube tutorial, they have the greatest projects.

Here is the tutorial I used for making my rag quilt. I just adjusted amounts to make an adult lap quilt. I used 1 yd ( .90cm) of 4 different flannel patterns for the top. I used 2 1/2 yd (2.25m) for the flannel needed for the backing. Sorry, I can't tell you how much I needed for the batting because I had so much left over from other projects. This amount of material made a 6 squares across/9 squares down lap quilt for an adult. It could also be big enough for a twin topper or a really big baby/crib quilt.

Very pretty, good idea for me to use up pieces of batting.

Your quilt is beautiful. I love those colors. I made some totes using some of those fabrics and some others. Love it.

Yes...when I also discovered how easy they were, I made 7 of them. My poor hands from all that clipping. But I was able to use them for some wedding gifts to acquaintances.
