I thought of the saying "you can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear", but I think you did here. Well done :-)

WMUTeach, perhaps she could put some wheels under it and attach a long handle. The weight was a concern to me, also.
It is long enough to touch the floor when I just grab it by the top of the handles but I wouldn't have any idrea on how to put wheels on it. |
Looks like it will be quite useful!

I would't be able to do that "by the seat of my pants," but you did a great job of it. Yeah, the fabrics are, ah, interesting.

I was asking myself when I was looking at the picture, "I wonder if she is using PUL" and you shortly answered my question. I recently purchased some PUL to use for bibs and burp cloths and for the inside of bags. I haven't cut into it yet. I bought 2 yards and that will go a long way. Did you find it difficult to work with? Your bag looks like it is a lot of fun. Something to take to the beach in the summer months too. You did a great job? Thanks for sharing.

Sewing PUL is like sewing fabric made of rubber bands. Definitely use your walking foot, clips instead of pins, and lengthen your stitch a lot. I also discovered PUL doesn't glue well.
I got a yard of the yellow and a yard of an orangy color because it was at a great discount. Now I know why. LOL |
Fabulous bag and you did a wonderful job on it. Great pockets with zippers and so useful for everything you need.
