Love the quilt. What book or source are you using to learn this method. I am working on a project now(kit) that requires a lot of cut up flowers using steam-a-seam. I to am wondering about what to do and tulle was one of my considerations, but it isn't mentioned as a requirement. I have quite a lot of flowers to stitch down and am concerned about missing some and how this is going to hold up in the future. Any hints about the tulle would be appreciated.

Tulle was slippery and wanted to shift. When I sandwiched the backing, batting and quilt top, I put the tulle on top and stretched and pinned it around the outside edges before pinning the sandwich thru all thicknesses. Hope that's clear!

That is just wonderful! You are very talented. Collage is definitely a technique I would like to try and is on my to do list!

Rufus is a real winner... both the real pup and the quilt! You captured him perfectly; even got his expression. The book and the glasses just fit in! Wonderful job!

The ears on both are adorable! :)

...and one of my favorite books, too! When I was a teenager, I worked at a bank where Madeleine L'Engle was a customer. I would see her checks coming thru the office where I worked, but I never saw her because my work area did not have a view of any of the customer areas. But one of my co-workers heard me say that I liked her books. My co-worker put in a good word with the tellers, and every time Ms. L'Engle came thru the drive-thru someone would give me the heads up! I would run up the stairs, scuttle down a hallway, and discretely peek around a corner....unfortunately I never saw anything but the back of her car, driving away. Sigh!
