I have a pair of the little microwave mitts that magnetically stick to the microwave. I use those for getting hit things out of the microwave. I would worry about the bowls catching fire.

They were my go-to present for family this year too--everyone was just thrilled and amazed-it was suggested that I "patent" the idea! Had to explain that it wasn't original LOL!
