I have a pair of the little microwave mitts that magnetically stick to the microwave. I use those for getting hit things out of the microwave. I would worry about the bowls catching fire.

yours look great...mine kept getting flat...not sure what I did wrong but started making them flat now...works fine just make an all cotton ...batting, fabric, thread...large mat..and we use them for everything including carrying hot flat plates so they can be put in your lap for eating watching TV....bad habit we all have...LOL
