What a beautiful block. I love the colors. Are you going to make all of the blocks alike? How big will the finished quilt measure? You do great work.

Thank you. I'm making 2 different blocks, alternating colors. There are 16 blocks total, so the finished quilt will be 22x22 with the 2 inch border. If it turns out nice, I will enter it for judging in our State Fair this August. Minis have to be under 24".

DoxieMom 03-17-2011 03:45 PM

The block is very nicely done and I absolutely love your choice of fabrics!!! Looking forward to seeing the finished quilt!

Nice work, Cecilia. Hope you will post more pictures as you go.

Pineapple quilts take up a lot of time, but they're so much fun when you're finished. I've used the pattern to make scrap pillows, wallhangings, and several quilts. They're worth everything you put into them.

Lv2sew2011 03-17-2011 06:03 PM

Great work and colors...

I was on a roll and completed 4 blocks today. They aren't perfectly lined up, so I may have to take them apart and fix them.

37 pieces - an hour's pretty good time! They might get a bit faster to put together if all are the same number of pieces. They look nice. Please post a picture of the whole thing when you get it together.

Are these paper pieced?
