I don't think I can go back to standard collage. This was so much fun. 6 days of tiny pieces for my Bruin friend. Fused, 25x20 :)

Amazing! I know this method is time consuming but the result is, well, amazing. Did you overlay it with tulle? I also think the background is just perfect for the bruin.

I only have the piece attached to the quilted background. I was thinking I should use some tulle for security .

I read your response, and my first thought was “city girl” then I saw you are from Texas, where there are no bears. Lol.
I have never wanted to “pet” a bear. (I grew up in the mountains and woods of Washington state where there ARE bears) lol. This bear does look like he is standing in a sunbeam. Their fur glows multicolored in the sun. ( I saw a bearskin in the sun once, not on a breathing bear.) fabulous quilt. Love the style.
