Modern Tree
1 Attachment(s)
I saw a panel done with this strip method at a local quilt store. Sadly they did not have the fabric, but I found it on line. It was a lot of fun to just stagger the fabric and see the results! I am still working on ideas for the border; no rush, the ideas will come (usually in the middle of the night!)

Nice job!

Very pretty!

I really like the way you used that panel and Purple is my favorite color. Good job!
I have the center panel, thanks for an idea of how to use it. Would like to see when you finish it.
Beautiful, would like to see completed
Great way to add interest to a panel.
lovely. All the best ideas come in the middle of the night
That is pretty. I'd keep the border simple so the focus stays on the tree. :)

a great design... nicely done
Yes, I love that panel too...saw it on Pinterest....would be an interesting way to reconstruct a lot of panel prints....dig in and let's see what's in our stash!
I finished mine the way the pattern instructed. http://www.quiltingboard.com/picture...e-t268150.html I think the diamond fabric would make a great border for yours. Love the purple.
I like it. The colors are great.
Nice! Isn't it crazy how we quilt all night? I love the ideas that invade my dreams.
don't normally like panels, but this is over the top!

Lynn, I also saw this panel at my local fabric store and bought their last one in stock along with whatever fabrics they had available. Was able to acquire the fuschia pink and blue/green argyll fabrics. Then went online to find more to go with it. Have some of the blue splatter, multi-color splatter and waiting for the orange splatter to arrive. Its been backordered since October from Hancock's so have a feeling I'll never see it. Picked up enough of the argyll for the backing and plan to fracker it like you did but was thinking of using black. Am looking to make it queen size so will need to add some blocks of sorts to enlarge it. Its still in the planning stage. Will be keeping my eyes on what you do with yours.

That is stunning! Many, many people will enjoy looking at this one!
Love the panel and what a great way to use it. Maybe a small black border first? Or just one larger black border!
I have this same panel and wanted to fracker it also. You've just given me an idea with making it a type of bargello pattern. Thanks as I've been beating my head against the wall trying to come up with a good pattern to make this panel larger to fit a queen bed.
beautiful. Ideas are flying at me about framing and borders and.......Can't wait to see what you decide to do. PLEASE, PLEASE post the finished top.
That is beautiful! I just bought window curtain panels that look similar to that design....wanted something bright and colorful....
