I decided to make a themed wreath each month for my back door in the garage. It is how we always enter the house.
Here is my Valentine wreath. Valentine Twister |
Very pretty. Nice work and what a great idea.

OHHHHHHHHHHHH!! It's so cute!!!
Why are you putting it on the garage? |
Very pretty! What a wonderful idea. Something special to welcome you home.
I love it! Is this twister easy? Special ruler? What will be your theme for March? thanks for sharing.
What a happy site when you go into your house! Beautiful.
That's a nice, cheery welcome! Very cute!
What a great idea, so pretty!

Pretty, pretty. I made a St. Patrick's Day one for my sister - maybe I'll make another for myself as I like your idea of entryway art. Did you do any quilting on it? I did SID on runners but didn't dare touch my Christmas wreath since I'm a beginner with FMQ & didn't want to ruin it.

oh.. I love it!!
Oh, I love it!

Would you mind sharing your layout of the fabric so that some of us could borrow it and use it to make ourselves one also. I love it. I am a twister fan and this looks way too cool.

Very pretty, I must try a twister !
I am not putting it on the garage, I am putting it inside the garage on the door that goes into the house. Safe from weather but a pleasant greeting. Glad you like it.

The patter is:
2 reds (A) (B) and 1 white fabric 5 inch squares 9 white squares 8 squares of one red fabric (A) 8 squares of other red fabric (B) Row 1: 1 White, 1A, 1B, 1A, 1White Row 2: 1 A, 1B, 1 white, 1B, 1A Row 3: 1B, 3 White, 1B Row 4: 1A, 1B, 1White, !B, 1A (same as Row 2) Row 5: 1 White 1A, 1B, 1A, 1 White (same as row 1) Sew rows together and add a three inch white border all around. Use the twister template to cut, then resew cut squares together, one row at a time. Lots of waste. You will end up with six square across and six squares down. You do have a Twister template don't you? |
Thanks so much for sharing the layout with us. I sure do appreciate it.
Nifty!

I'm still trying to make my wreath into a heart shape. Has anyone figured it out yet? |
