my dh spotted them when he was leaving to go next door. he called me and said get your camera and get outside. he came barreling back down the drive and away we went. she had moved some. I got out when she was quite a distance aaway and took pics over the hood of the pickup. then they left and I told dh to back up and drive south. lo and behold she came over the hill and worked her way dow to the road and we had turned the pickup off and just sat there. she walked right up to the pickup and then went around to the drivers side and sniffed th ewindshiel. DH could have reached out and petted her neck. she then snorted and left walking down the road with her babies. I made a disc of the pictures and took them to the newspaper office in town and they blew up these for me. they also asked my permission to put them in the paper. sure hope they use color ink. I have an 8 x 10 of these three.

Nice pictures, we don't have moose around here. Daughter saw one up close when she visited her Son and Daughter in law in Alaska.

I LOVE the first picture! This could be the pattern for a very unique and personal applique project.
|
When we lived in Alaska we enjoyed the moose that came into our yard. Many times we had a cow moose bring her baby or babies to hide them in the tall grass on back of our lot. They were so fun to watch. Sometimes they would stay around for several days while the babies learned to stand, walk and soon run. Never ever got tired of watching the moose! When we moved down to WA we knew moose days were over so when we adopted our kitten we named him Moose! So we do still have a moose. Our Moose is now 11 years old!
