More 9-Patch Pizzazz

5 Attachment(s)
I have officially become addicted to this pattern. It is really easy and fun to make. Pattern is "9-Patch Pizzazz" by Judy Sisneros. (c&t Publishing) Judy calls this the "potato chip quilt"- nobody can make just one. These are not yet quilted. I have no idea where I am going to hang them. The finished size is about 40x40 so it will be wallhanging. I made this pattern as a bed quilt but when it is laying down the pattern is lost. Make some! They are fun!

Never heard of this pattern before. It's great. You did a wonderful job.

BuzzinBumble 11-16-2011 06:14 PM

I especially like your last picture of the tropical fish under the sea. The pattern makes it look like you are viewing the fish through currents of water. Neat!

Mariposa 11-16-2011 06:18 PM

These are really great!! What a neat variety of fabrics! :)

franc36 11-16-2011 06:18 PM

Love your quilts. I can see that the pattern is one you'd want to make many times. Thanks for sharing.

QuiltnNan 11-16-2011 06:22 PM

it's a great pattern. so many times we see questions "what do I do with this focus fabric" This quilt would be excellent for that.

jaciqltznok 11-16-2011 06:26 PM

I just adore those frogs....really cute!
and yes you are an addict...but do NOT seek therapy other than MORE sewing..hehehe

MissM 11-16-2011 06:38 PM

I made one using this pattern, it was fun.

I love them all. I have been wanting to try one of these for a long time. Maybe now that I have seen yours I will get enough ambition to try one. TFS

Sandy64 11-16-2011 08:12 PM

That is a neat pattern and your choice of fabrics works great. Give yourself a pat on the back.

beatys9 11-16-2011 08:17 PM

These look great. I just start one last week - hope it comes out as well as yours!

debcavan 11-16-2011 08:34 PM

But they are so cool, it is a wonderful addiction. They really do offer a chance to be creative and you can use some of those wonderful larger print fabrics you have collected.

Anna.425 11-16-2011 09:57 PM

It is very cute. I especially like the stars and planets design. :)

Quiltaddict 11-16-2011 09:58 PM

Very cool. I especially like the fish quilt. I have been meaning to make one for my son for a while. Really need to get on that.

katigirl 11-17-2011 12:50 AM

Really neat idea. My neice wants to make one with pequins for her daughter and this looks like it would be a good one.

happynana 11-17-2011 01:21 AM

I have made several 9 patch Pizzaz quilts too. They are fun as big patches of favorite fabrics are show cased. I will see if I can show you my favorites.

Wonderful quilts. I tried one but had difficulty with placement and fabrics-- yours look great.

DebraK 11-17-2011 08:40 AM

Wow, good job. I see you like the using the Asian prints for these too. I love the way you quilted the animals on the first one.

Jingle 11-17-2011 08:58 AM

All are very pretty, I don't have enough wall space for hangings.

spartan quilter 11-17-2011 11:14 AM

I can't really say which is my favorite, because each quilt is great. A wonderful way to accent big print fabrics. You do a great job on these. I must try one of them.
