I LOVE IT - ILOVE IT - ILOVE IT - Does the first one have a home ?
Absolutely stunning!!! No wonder you're addicted. Way over my head though.
Your quilts are beautiful. I started to make a kaleidoscope quilt a while ago but haven't finished it yet. I really need to get back to it. It's just one more of my UFO's.
I'm from Utah too. |
Is that Stack 'n' Whack? I haven't tried one yet--they're kind of scary!
These are stunning. I love kaleidoscope quilts. I love how the blue in the top one just pops out at me. It is kind of florescent look in the lgt blue. I just noticed there is also a cream/white/ or yellow (not sure which) that does the same thing. The second one looks like fall and I really love the ones at the bottom that looks like wreaths the way the leaves circle the inside. The last on is just so bright and cheery. You do and excellant job of laying them out.
beautiful! bookmarking, but intimidated too. I know I am not at this skill level, but also have visual problems, so, who knows, maybe one day I'll do a few and incorporate them with some other stuff. So pretty to look at, and I agree, the first one glows. Like all three :D

Those are truly beautiful quilts!

Your quilts are absolutely gorgeous....I bought the "ONE BLOCK WONDER" book. Is that the pattern you used? I have not yet attempted them...hae purchased some fabric, hoping that I bought the right patterns for this project....but can't seem to get moving on it. wondering if I will be attempting more thatn I can handle.
Any suggestions? Thanks.....mj |
Very sharp! You really do have an eye for color. The first one is my favorite!
My mother says she makes kaleisescope quilts but I have never seen one of hers. I'm not sure if she makes them like these or if she makes a different kind. Since I'm pretty new to quilting seeing them the other day blew my mind away. ... finally a use for that weird fabric that I have gotten along the way that just does not seem to fit with any other project lol! I"m looking forward to making one. A few of my friends are going to start a quilting group of our own. After going to the quilting guild in town and deciding that it was too stuffy. We would rather go some place and actually quilt!!! So we are branching out and going on our own. We are going to do one of these in one of our first get togethers. We are all intrigued by them. We are just looking for a place to meet right now...! |
You may be addicted but it is a goooooood addiction! Gorgeous work!!
just ~beautiful~

You ARE addicted! I think there are a few of us here that just can't stop stacking! :D
An addiction that produces something so stunning can't be all bad. :-)
Wow!! I wish I could do that, but I think any attempt by me would fall short.
your quilts are so beautiful! I love the blue one but they all look great. Thats the kind of addiction I would like to have. If you need an intervention you can send one my way
Great Job!! |
Beautiful quilts. How large are your kaleidoscopes.
What lovely quilts!!!!! I also like your borders made from the original fabrics. I have done one Stack and Whack. My original thought was to make 6 blocks. It was so much fun, and lots of fabric was left in the cut stack. I ended up with a queen sized quilt. The One Block Wonders quilts fascinate me too. I have fabric for one now. My present project MUST be finished first though.

Just gorgeous!

Absolutely gorgeous. Just completed one but not totally happy with it. It's the cutting that makes it. I could easily become addicted, I just love the effect they produce.
I love your addiction.
The last one is like plates of fruits salad!

WOW! They're all so beautiful. You certainly have a knack for choosing the perfect fabric for these!

Gorgeous! I'm also a snw addict, I didn't make my first one until last year, I've made 6 so far and I have fabric for at least 10 more.
For some fabulous inspiration check out the work of Linda Rotz Miller. She's posted several of her quilts here on QB, she also has her own website. She's AMAZING! |
Those are all very pretty.
I'd say you are addicted, but it's a good addiction, right?! :D They're beautiful.
Beautiful! You and I need to live close. I would cut out a quilt for you if you would cut a kaleidoscope for me. I'm frozen in fear of messing up the fabric.
Wow, I have two sets of fabric ready to start similar quilts but I am afraid to even try. Great job! Can you come and help me?
These are beautiful! I want to learn to cut these too! Can you use a Dresden ruler or is it a different tool?
They are so fun, I can see why you are addicted. You get a surprise in every block. And thent he overall is gorgeous. I never get tired of seeing them. I just look and look at all the individual blocks as well as the overall beauty

Even though we don't live close, the same bug has bitten me. I have one almost done and material for 3 more. They are just fascinating to me. The variety is immense and yours are beautiful.
