Ya'all are some mug rug makers!

I saw a way to make hot plate trivets at the International Quilt Show in Houston last year: just make a mug rug, but only close three sides. Slip a ceramic tile inside (you can buy them very inexpensively in many sizes at Home Depot or Lowe's) and it protects your table top, counter, etc.

They make quick, cute gifts, too.

They are all so cute. I like the way you used your fancy stitches on your machine. I like the orange one best just because it is orange.

most are 8 inches by 10 inches give or take a little.some are 6 inches by 9 inches.

Great mug rugs.

A gal at our church bought a BUNCH of fabric at an auction($7 !!) In the goody pile were a few lonesome quilt blocks. I've made mug rugs from a few of them. Also got blocks enough to make maybe 15 table toppers/runners.

Pics later. I'm hand quilting the mug rugs. And I hate hand quilting.
