Morning Star Quilt
1 Attachment(s)
A friend hosted a Metis Quilter who was teaching the Morning Star Blanket. Yes, it is a quilt, but in her First Nation tradition it is called a blanket. Two days of bias and Y-seams, but I have a lovely top. It will be a gift for a friend who turns 50 in April and loves pink. I probably will add one more set of borders as it is only about 50 inches square now.
I have no idea why it is posting sideways, but you can see the whole quilt. I did not have quite enough of the b[ink for the border, so used cornerstones for the first time. I was happy that the centre star is quite flat and many of my points look ok. |
very nice, I don't think I ever will want to do Y seam piecing so I am impressed with yours.

Great Work!!! I don't have the patients to do Y seams, or else I'm too slow to catch on.

It looks great, and I like your idea of the pink for the border- let us see it again, when you finish----pleez!
