Mountains Wall Hanging
 

My customer, Nancy, made this wonderful, pieced wall hanging. She wanted the thread to match the fabric so it's a good thing I have lots of thread! I used 11 different thread colors. She wanted it to be flat so the batting is Quilter's Dream 100% cotton select. The thread play changes direction to add movement and texture. I used Superior Threads So Fine #50 which is a great thread for thread sketching. My kids liked the back because it really shows there! Enjoy and thanks for looking!

The scene and design are very pretty and not to busy. Your quilting really enhances the scene. The swirls in the clouds and the quilting on the mountains make them seem rugged, like real mountains. You did a fabulous job bringing out the beauty of her quilt. Thanks for sharing.
