I used the same fabric as Polly did in a recent quilt she posted about with photo. I used the pattern "Reflections". I did about 5 of these in dif fabrics. The method is similar to a stack 'n whack but uses squares of repeats. I had sent this to my daughter and she had to take the pic for me.

That is really a neat quilt. Reminds me of the 4th of July fireworks. Nice job. I love Alaska

Candace 07-03-2010 05:20 PM

That's really pretty fabric.

Sheila Elaine 07-03-2010 05:22 PM

Love the fabrics & the back is as pretty as the front. Way to go.

franie 07-03-2010 05:22 PM

This quilt might have been folded and not hung is why the sloppy border--I don't remember it being like that--that's my excuse and I am sticking to it. My daughter has it and she took the pic for me. This is a fun pattern and works well with big bold fabric statements.

beachlady 07-04-2010 04:43 AM

Beautiful quilt. Was the pattern the 4 patch posey?

sidmona 07-04-2010 05:55 AM

Beautiful fabric and beautiful quilt.

b.zang 07-04-2010 06:03 AM

The fabric you chose for that quilt is a perfect fit for the pattern.
I know, because I've used the same method to make a quilt but the instructor I took the class from called it shattered or splintered. My fabric choice was less than great (http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-39552-1.htm) and left me wanting to do something better. Thanks for providing inspiration and the picture to prove it CAN be better!
Love your quilt.

littlehud 07-04-2010 07:34 AM

Wow, those are so cool. I love that effect.

ann clare 07-04-2010 07:36 AM

Beautiful

franie 07-04-2010 07:57 AM

No, it is nothing like the Four Patch Posey.

I took the parenthesis off the end and it opened.

Where can I find the pattern? Your quilt is so unusual. I have a piece of fabric I'd like to try that on.

Fiber Artist 07-04-2010 12:34 PM

Thats great!!

Pineapple Princess 07-06-2010 09:04 PM

Beautiful!

tooMuchFabric 07-06-2010 09:38 PM

I would also enjoy knowing what the pattern is - I've seen several of these quilts made from some kind of repeating, "reflecting" design of the blocks,
but yours makes me really want to try this.

som 07-06-2010 09:58 PM

i would like to do a quilt like this too, it is beautiful where do you get the pattern

dkabasketlady 07-07-2010 08:40 AM
