It was on the back burner for a good time,it's a king size and all the material came from your lovely country when my Sister was visiting California and her family

Wow!! It's beautiful! :) It might have taken 7 years, but it was well worth the wait. :) Good job! :)

I just love it !!! My first quilt was a sampler, quilt as you go. It is a good learning quilt. Also, welcome to the board,it is fun to have fellow quilters from across the the pond. Donna

and took you 3 years less than it would have taken me. i know people will still be admiring that quilt 150 or 200 years from now. :P |
Very pretty, nice combination of applique and patchwork.
|
Beautiful, Sure looks like you knew what you were doing for a first quilt.
|
This is gorgeous!! I love sampler quilts - am trying to do one now - slow going for now...
|
My first real quilt (other than baby quilts) took me 7 years also. The quilting club in town told me a good quilt should take 7 years, so I felt proud that I finished in time.
|
That's beautiful. I love the sampler blocks and colors!
|
Beautiful colors and nice assortment of blocks! 7 years is a huge commitment of time. So what do you have planned next????
|
That is really beautiful! Well done!

Oh this is simply divine, it's given me so much inspiration to carry on with my quilt, but I have to admit, I am too impatient to hand quilt, so mine is all by machine!! You have done a fantastic job!!

That is beautiful. I want to do an Elenor Burns sampler but haven't had the time to get at it. Too many other projects are going on. I'd like to do just the dresden plate too with my scraps but that will take some time before I decide to look into those totes.
Keep on quilting! Great work, Connie |
This is beautiful! Looks like it is worth every minute and stitch of those seven years.
|
That is 1 beautiful quilt. 7 yrs....well, it will take me much longer than that I think. I really love your colors. I'm thinking of trying one of these sampler quilts...you have inspired me to move it closer to the top of my list...I guess I better get started if it is going to take me quite awhile to finish it...I love to quilt by hand too. Great quilt!

Ann,
It looks great! Don't feel bad, I took three years from start to finish on my first quilt. I am on my second king size quilt and it will be finished by Sept. 9, my daughter's wedding anniversary. However, it has also taken three years. I don't quilt every day and it is the therapy I get when I sit at my quilt frame and hand quilt. Now try for a second one. Yes, the quilt is for my oldest daughter. I have the fabric for the second daughter and need to get it pieced, ready for the frame. Connie in Pennsylvania |
Absolutely Beautiful!!!
