I learned how to make this Sample Quilt in an Adult Ed quilting class held at our local highschool. I'm very proud of how this turned out and now am very anxious to "go out on my own". How do you all decide what to work on next??? There are so many projects I want to try!

I generally choose by what is happeneing, who is having a baby and such. Lately, I have wanted to create but I hate piecing so I've been working on two quilts, one I'm piecing, and a scrappy quilt. I like them and crazy quilts because they are freeing, no rules.

Oh, I cannot help you with choosing what to do next because I have several things going all the time. Seems as if my mind just keeps coming up with ideas. You sound as if you are hooked on quilting because that is a symptom. LOL Enjoy--your ability is outstanding for a first quilt.

I have a list of people that I want to make a quilt for & pick and choose who gets the next one. I also make several baby quilts to have on hand in a pinch! I haven't made any for ME yet and that's the next one on my to do list!!

Nice quilt, they chose a great pattern for the class. For my next project I usually pick what ever strikes my fancy at the time I'm starting it. I do have a collection of patterns I want to do and just choose from them. If I want to start before I can go shopping, I choose something that can be done from my stash or scrap box.

I know everyone is saying this - but oh my gosh - that is soo great for your first. You don't want to see my first quilt!! :)

I seem to get very inspired by looking around on the board. There are some amazing quilts. It's funny - when I first started about a year ago, I didn't like stars that much - now I know why they are all over. The Carpenters Star is my favorite now.

Great job !!! I am currently quilting the first sampler quilt I made by following a book. It is a great way to learn several techniques. On to the next great adventure in quilting!!
