It certainly is a beauty!

It is gorgeous! Lucky you!

Beautiful Tiffany decals. She is a beauty!
I learned to treadle with the machine unthreaded top and bobbin, with a piece of fabric under the foot so I could see that the machine was going in the right direction. Keeping your feet on the pedal seems to help too. I do quite a bit of quilt piecing with my treadles. |
Wow, that is gorgeous!!! Nice find! Just practice and you will soon be treadling along without even thinking about it.
|
Gorgeous and in no time you will be best friends.

That machine is absolutely gorgeous! Love the designs on the base and the throat. Lovely! I learned to sew on a treadle machine. Loved the rhythm of it. Never ran over my fingers either like I did with an electric machine. Jan

Do all of you who have these machines actually use them and how or why? Or are they strictly for decoration?

Beautiful...simply beautiful.....
When I was a young girl a neighbor lady passed away, and her daughter wanted me to have her old treadle....and I said at the age of 10, why would I want that old thing....one of my biggest regrets of my life...maybe one day .... |
She is absolutely gorgeous!

I grew up using a treadle and its still my favorite, bar none. Enjoy!!

Oh my - that looks so much like the treadle I got from my grandmother (the incidentally my daughter sold at a yard sale before her father and I knew it....). Enjoy - it's beautiful and a wonderful treasure.

Oh, my goodness! She's breathtaking! I'm so jealous. I've been wanting a treadle SO BAD. Have a friend who told HER friend that I was looking for one and her friend said she has one she'll GIVE to me! Now I'm dying--because it's Arizona, in the Summer and she has gone to the mountains for a few weeks to beat the heat! I'm holding my breath til she gets back, and hoping she won't forget!
The other good thing is that I know her, and knowing her, if she has it in her home, it's in very good condition and beautiful! I can't wait! |
