My 2 main UFO's... I want to finish both!
Hey everyone, It's been nearly 2 years since I've last sewn OR posted here on the forums. I am finally feeling the urge to sew again, and two of my UFO's are first and foremost in my mind. I wish I had a room dedicated to my sewing hobby, but as it is, I have to take over a main living area in order to do it, and it is kind of a pain.
My first project is this Dotty Stars... I have 6 blocks finished, and I can't remember how many more to go, tho it's a bunch, I'm sure. LOL http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b1...um/dotty19.jpg And the second project I'd really like finished is my red, white and blue double Irish chain!! http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b1...chain5rows.jpg This is 5 finished rows, and is planned to be king size for my own bed. I already know I've completely forgotten how to put the pattern together and will have to relearn this one. LOL I've been looking at everyone else's photo threads here for the past week and it's helping to inspire me to get going again! Actually, the very last thing I worked on 2 years ago, was the Dear Jane project with a group from here!! I only got about 18 blocks done before I got sick. One day, tho, I'll get going back on that, too!! Yay! |
Those are both lovely!

Good for you getting back into the swing of things. Both of your quilts are beautiful and look forward to seeing the finished product. :)
|
Glad you posted. Love them both and will be anxious to see them finished. I too, have to take over space in our dining room to quilt. I could make a sewing area in our basement but find I enjoy the natural light from windows and the family if I'm in the dining room. I can be around the family "action" if I'm upstairs.

I adore your stars. They are wonderful. Your Irish Chain also looks fab and not too far off being finished. The great thing about when you come back to a project that is so far through is it seems to go really quickly again. Hang in there. You have some great rewards coming your way. Love what you have done.

Both quilts are beautiful, but I especially like the Irish Chain.
|
Well going to try and post again......... love both of your quilts........ but number one the scrappy stars is what caught my eye........ love scrappy
|
Both quilts are lovely.....I am glad you are back at work on them! Could you rig a curtain or screen so the quilting would
not show? |
Brazen, I too am guilty. I was away from the board for a while. But I did keep on quilting.
But I am so glad you posted b/c I have often wondered about your dotted stars! I remember you posting some pics when you started and really liked the all polka dotted fabric idea. I was wondering what happened with it and now I know. Hope you are able to keep with the quilting bug! Kyia |
