My 6 yr old son made this quilt
 

My 6 yr old son decided he wanted to make some money. His idea was to "make quilts for sale".
I encouraged it. He did it all but the cutting. He is way to young to cut anything himself. He sewed all the pieces, designed it himself, picked out all the fabrics, and quilted it. I'm so proud of him. My friend seen it and she is buying it from him.

Great job! I started my son sewing about that age.

You have yourself a little entrepreneur! He does excellent work (with a little help from mommy) and has started out successful! Congrats to him!

Very cute! Good eye for colours too! I look forward to seeing his next quilts!

My first thought is that he should not sell this one. Its his first quilt and he will treasure it when he's grown. Let him make a duplicate for his next one, and let him sell that one to your friend. You need to keep this one for him and for in shows, as someone else suggested. Think of his thrill when he wins his first ribbon! And once your first quilt is gone you can't get it back!
