Hi
I here after some time of: searching, chating, sending , sending pic of some of my work, I did mention my avatar story some where in this board I am sure but where ....... :? Well, one of dear sisters ask me to show full pic of it . It is a gift for my parents and it is first king size i made ever, very thick batting i used bec i used second hand batting (unknown at that time in my place. It is hand quilted .and it is invisible quilted bec i used very pale, second hand bed sheet   I told u it was every thing FIRST Enjoy all |
It is still very pretty, too bad about the stitching though, especially after all that hard work.

My wife just saw your quilt and told me that is how she wants the batting on our quilt I just finished the top on.
We both agree that is the most beautiful quilt and would be very proud to own such a piece of art. And to think its all hand quilted, you did a wonderful job!!!!!   Billy |
I think it's beautiful. I love the colors. I bet they love it too. Great job and thanks for sharing.
|
good for you,.... using 'recyled' products somewhat. i have done that before. it is called being thrifty. and i have decided the next one i make for 'my house' is not going to have a bating, but is going to have a 'used, quality' sheet for the batting. still 3 layers, but lighter for summer. sometimes in the south, i understand, no batting is used at all. correct? any girls from the south?

Gorgeous quilt! I love it. You did a fabulous job on it.

I am not sure of no batting or a bed sheet will be enough in between, ask sisters who r more expert to pic the last view I know some of u there used flees is it hot? it gives the quilting looking . Good luck |
