So glad you had this experience! My nephews and grandchildren love quilts. My DSIL will NOT let my nephews ask for any more-lol! It is such a great feeling when what you make is so happily received!

What a great picture....beautiful quilts and good looking grandsons. I made an extra long double for our grandson who is 6'7" when he graduated from high school knowing he would take it off to college. He called us a couple of days later to thank us again.

All three quilts are lovely and the picture with you all together is priceless. Thanks for sharing.

How nice. Love to see the genuine smiles. Your work was appreciated.

Love this!! I'm always saddened, as many of you are, when I hear of an unappreciative response to the gift of a quilt. This warms the heart! AAANNNNDDDDD, I LOVE your quilts! Especially the red/white Ohio star quilt... I'm planning one very similar to this one... have always wanted to do a red/white and I love Ohio star! Thanks for sharing!

Guess what ?? Grandma made them and if they are like my grand kids sons or daughters, a quilt from grandma is special. These are beautiful quilts good job.
I think my kids and grands are disappointed if they don't get one. One grand son brags every quilt we have my grandma made . Just had to do repair one a grand daughters quilt , their apartment hot water pipes froze , broke and destroyed the ceiling in their bedroom which collapsed ,they lost all their bedroom . She retrieved her quilts, the cleaned up but one had some major damage, I had to reline it and patch holes in the front. She was so happy when I returned it to her, ready for another run on life. |
Very happy looking young men! Enjoy your time with them!
