My little boy doesn't care one bit about my quilts, he has autism and is very big into texture and he likes fuzzy, nothing hard and he thinks quilts are hard. But he has learned that I love quilts and when I make one he says Very Nice Mom..... (gotta love that baby boy)........Our dog on the other hand LOVES the quilts, especially the ones with white on them, it seems hey just call to him. And since he is dark brown, I am constantly washing them......Gotta love it.

when he was brand new

Would your son like a minky or fleece quilt? He might like those textures.

Yes, every little boy or girl should have a dog as a friend.

One young lady I write to said her Autistic son loved soft, heavy quilts, but as the Autistic group taught her, some like them VERY heavy. Others like the weight to be less or more, everyone is different. Have you been told that in your own studies?

Weighted Blankets - Quilting
Do you love using thick luxury classy towels or love them when they get old and ... It is believed that some autistic children continue to need this heavy ...

2 beauties. have you tried making him a quilt with chennile along the border? many children like to rub anything fuzzy or silky.

gaigai 05-03-2011 02:06 AM

Awwwww!!!

verna2197 05-03-2011 03:13 AM

Precious Picture.

bugsmom 05-03-2011 03:18 AM

that blue fuzzy blanket in the picture is what he loves, I thought about making him a quilt with softer textures but it is the stitching that annoys him as well as the cotton. lol He likes a fuzzy, really heavy, blanket with no stitching or interuptions in the fuzziness.lol, but he does have quilts on his bed, he just doesn't use them.

drdolly 05-03-2011 04:19 AM

Thanks for sharing this picture of love!!

catray 05-03-2011 07:02 AM

Sounds like you have my dog with you. My Sophie is 100 lbs. and has the most soulfull eyes and large square head that makes her look like a throw back to the original breeds of the labs. There's nothing like love given with no strings attached.
