So far this is where I'm at with my blooming star quilt. The blocks are not sewn together yet. Each block has 33 pieces sewn together to make one block, but chain piecing made it come together alot faster. I probably will not get this finished for a while yet.
Which border do you think looks best? Thank's for looking. Your opinion means alot to me. All 12 blocks A closer shot blue border? rust ? multi green with a dab of rust? |
Sheesh that's a hard one, I like them both...........what about a double boarder? Really nice top................calla
great colors. between blue and rust, i like the rust.
How about a narrow border in the rust and then a wider border of the blue?
i vote for the red border. good job on the blocks
I like the blue
I'm kind of thinking of the double myself, I too like the blue with the rust color. Thank soooooo much for your opinions. I spent way too much time trying to decide and I'm so happy for this board to help me out!!!!
A beautiful quilt in the making, my preference on borders would be a framing one of the rust and then the green n rust as the wider border, just my opinion.
I like the rust 1st & the printed one 2nd.
I like either the rust or the gold...
I like the blue

I like the rust and gold, maybe together as a double border.

Pick two and go for the double border :)
I vote for the Blue. :)

Love your quilt!!! I would go with a thinner rust and then a wider green border.

How about a narrow border of gold then a wider border of red? :-D

I vote for a thin rust border, then a wider blue one~~
Beautiful quilt! Love the pattern!
I like the idea of a narrow border in the rust then offset with a wider border of the green and rust print! Although I don't think you can go wrong with any of the fabrics. Taht top is beautiful! |
I love your Blooming star blocks, as for the border I myself would use the multi green one, but the others would work to, its just what ever one you like best. Great job on the blocks.
Wow. Hard coice...they all look pretty good. Narroewing down, I would go with rust 1st choice, then blue.
I like the last fabric choice. Would bring out the other colors perfectly.
I like the rust best I think, I like the blue also. I don't know would be hard to chose.
I like all of them, I am glad I don't have to decide which to use. I would be lost.
I forgot, blocks are gorgeous and so perfect, the finished quilt will be gorgeous.
I love it! I go with the rust!
I like your color choices... rust for border then choose another one

Okay, I think that an accent border with the rust 1" to 1.5" finished wide would work best (depending on the size of your blocks) then a wider border with the Peach circles on a green background being at least the width of 4.5 to 6 inches. Depends on how it looks if it is proportion to the quilt blocks (and also how much fabric you have !!). The blue doesn't match the blue in the quilt. Also remember the binding. If you want it to show, try the rust. If you want it to blend, then use the print you use for your border. GOOD LUCK. You have me motivated to ask about the borders on the quilt I am currently working on. THANKS
