My Bonnie Hunter Quilt

1 Attachment(s)
I just completed my 2017 Bonnie Hunter quilt (En Provence). It makes me think of spring as I pretty much followed Bonnie's color selections. It measures 88x88. Lots of pieces

Wonderful! I admire any one that can follow the mysteries to the finish.

That's a beauty... you did a great job! I made one but only 3x3 and it still is huge enough to use on a single bed.

lynnie 01-29-2017 10:06 AM

pewa88 01-29-2017 10:49 AM

Beautiful! I just found that on her website yesterday, downloaded everything, so it's now on the list. Yours is stunning!

Great accomplishment to have finished this lovely quilt.

quiltingshorttimer 01-29-2017 04:49 PM

that's beautiful and so springy! Wish now I'd done it--or at least gotten in gear and downloaded the instructions at least for that "rainy day"!

BrendaK 01-29-2017 06:48 PM

Beautiful. BrendaK

Love the colors. Yes it says "spring"!

jmoore 01-30-2017 03:36 AM

Congratulations on your finish! BH's quilts are fun but also challenging...your quilt is beautiful. I'm sure you're delighted with how it finished up.

Gagigi 01-30-2017 03:42 AM

Beautiful! I love this years pattern and am in process of making this one as well. If I remember correctly pattern is still available but will be taken down Feb 1st. It will then be available for purchase on Bonnie's website.

quilterpurpledog 01-30-2017 04:42 AM

This is certainly one of the prettiest scrap quilts I have seen. I am not sure how you 'chose' your colors but they work wonderfully well together. I admire the finish.

twinkie 01-30-2017 04:52 AM

Me too. I would have trouble just picking out the colors, not knowing what I was going to end up with. Yours is gorgeous!

Evelynquilts 01-30-2017 08:15 AM

Beautiful :)

Mariposa 01-30-2017 08:15 AM

Congrats on the beautiful finish!

MargeD 01-30-2017 08:18 AM

WOW, it's gorgeous, love the colors. I've been watching her tutorials and hope to make one of her quilts one day. However, I will be making a very scrappy quilt for this year's July 4th family reunion, so I'm looking at many possibilities.

Maureen 01-30-2017 09:02 AM

Wow, that is a beauty. Bonnie Hunter just gave classes and lectures in our area. I didn't take her class but her lecture was great. She is so spunky and fun. You did a wonderful job on this quilt.

Jordan 01-30-2017 12:22 PM

Very pretty quilt and your choice of fabrics really makes your quilt so nice.

Ava's GrandmaB 01-30-2017 01:55 PM

Mine is at the quilter. Eager to see it completed. I calculated 2800 pieces. I'd never done a quilt like this before. I loved it! Even the 51 pins it took to match all the seams on each side of the outer border!

peaceandjoy 01-30-2017 02:05 PM

Your quilt is beautiful! Did you quilt it or send it out to be quilted? Could you show a picture of the quilting? I'm wondering what might work with this quilt. I've finished the parts for Clue 7, but have not yet started putting all of the pieces together. As I found the last couple of BH mysteries too bright for my taste, I went with Civil War repros, but now that I am seeing the quilts of folks like you who used her suggestions, I almost wish I had gone that route.

My avatar is one of Bonnie's previous mysteries, also done in an alternate colorway. Her patterns are complex but achievable. Lots and lots of pieces, but I've never seen anyone give better, more thorough instructions.

Congratulations on a beautiful finish & thank you for sharing.

caspharm 01-30-2017 04:14 PM

It looks great. I really need to make one. I have the pattern.
