I finally got this quilt finished and ready to give to my big brother for his birthday in august. But, when he heard it was finished, he just had to take it home with him today after a long day of BBQ and family visiting. LOL... Even my new 10 year old friend sierra came to visit and eat with us. But, that is another story altogether.

He was kinda busy on the phone, but here he is with his beloved quilt. It is a dp4 and a log cabin variation 2 block quilt I made up. No pattern, sorry everyone.

I hope you like it too.

Quilt and brother are gorgeous!!!!!

RedGarnet222 07-16-2012 07:05 AM

Thank you all so very much! I really appreciate your positive response to this quilt.

These are all fabrics from my stash that just happen to all go together in perfect scale. I think that is what is appealing about it, if you ask me. The coral centers are a michael miller fairy frost. Once you cut the disappearing four patch, the centers of that cut becomes the center of the court house steps center (the other block). I used a solid coral square for the center of the d4p. That is all girls.

I don't have the link to the D4P, but if you google it, quite possibly the tutorial will be available still. I am pretty sure that I posted the link in the original posting of the top. It is called black white and coral quilt. Or something very like that.

Stunning quilt and color choices. The red just makes it pop.

A cutie, single, and he appreciates quilts...what's not to love???!!!???

RedGarnet222 07-16-2012 07:31 AM

No offense but the center square is a deep coral fairy frost. I made it to match a color in a huge watercolor original he hangs in his home.

I am gonna love showing my brother this thread! He will be so honored you girls enjoy his good looks. LOL!
