My cartoon stars top finished--YAHHHHHHH

A few weeks back, I posted a couple of star blocks made from a Looney Tunes fabric, using the stack and whack process. Well, I have finally gotten all 36 blocks sewn together. I only used 20 of them for this top, so will have enough for a second top. Not sure what I will do with it, but can always find someone who can use a lap quilt. This top ended up measuring 60x90, which is good, because it will go to one of my grandkids, who are 5`10 or taller, and they are girls. I did include the last 4 blocks of the original material, to always know what the stars came from. Enjoy looking.

This second picture shows a close up of some of the blocks and the original fabric.

Love your quilt! I'm glad you used a full cut of your fabric too. I always wonder what fabric was used to create such a great quilt block. Now I know.

Cute! Haven't thought of a stack and whack with this type of material..can't get past using flowers.

I really like how the blocks turned out. This looks different from other stack and whacks or OBW's. Can you give me a brief overview of what your process was? It looks like 8 layers of fabric and did you make diamond shape cuts and then the background fabric is attached using Y seams?

That is so pretty. Love anything that is stacked n whacked.
