I am still new to the terms used! When you do a swap do you make a block for each person in the swap? Is that block the same for each person? How do you know what block to use.
Thanks and Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all of you wonderful quilters. I so enjoy this site (I probably stay on it toooo much) and have learned so much. Let's hope 2010 will find all of us smiling and quilting!

The blocks on here usually involve you making so many of one block. For the DJ exchange we each made 18 blocks all the same. You send them to a certain person with a return envelope and then you get back 18 differetn blocks, one of which is the one you did. Clear as mud? You can do multiple sets and get more blocks, so you might do 18 of one block and then 18 of a different one. The larger blocks usually involve doing 12 blocks. There is actually a chocolate Raspberry exchange that's still open for sign ups.

That turned out beautifully, Patti! I'm doing a table runner with mine as well, on a white-on-white background to make the blocks really stand out (though it occurs to me - belatedly - that white isn't the best colour for a table runner. Hmmm. Maybe a wall hanging instead?)

I hope to see other people's creations with the Chistmas DJ blocks!

Right sides of runner together. Sew all the way around but leave opening (I would leave on the end). Pull it through the opening and stitch the opening. clear as mud??

Looks really pretty Patti! I'm working on mine too. I'll post when finished.
