Don't you wish it would stay that neat? Of coarse if you never use it I guess it might! But what fun would that be? :)

Kas 06-19-2010 08:53 PM

An apple headed Siamese! I don't like the long pointy faces they are breeding them with, now. The Siamese I grew up with looked JUST like yours. He was such a good boy after he outgrew chewing on wool. I wish my sewing space was as neat as yours! I might actually sew something!

Nanjun 06-20-2010 04:13 AM

Vey nice. You have everything you could possibly need.

Marysewfun 06-20-2010 06:42 AM

I have also taken over a master bedroom before - for the same reason - - all that extra room to play! And I have a Calico who has set out and demands her space in "our" sewing room. Some of your arrangement has given me a couple ideas. Like someone else said, go play - it doesn't look healthy being so neat!!

grammyj 06-20-2010 07:18 AM

bstanbro 06-20-2010 10:13 AM

Nice! The cat was a great idea! Why didn't I think of that?

grandaud 06-20-2010 11:11 AM

Had a siamese cat like yours, only she was the cat from He__!. Attached everyone that came into the house and would even attack me. Needless to say, she got the boot and now I have the nicest Calico cat. She is very calm and a good companion, since I lost my husband.

Greendragon6889 06-20-2010 11:24 AM

The room looks great and your kitty looks like my Simon...He's deffinatly a people cat and he chatters at me all the time...

anicra 06-20-2010 01:23 PM

Looks great!! Can you come and clean up my sewing room? LOL

AnitaSt 06-20-2010 01:30 PM

My mother and her sister always had Siamese cats...sometimes several. As kitten when they first start getting their brown "points" they look like they've gotten into the fireplace soot. My favorite Siamese name ever was one of my aunt's cats: Sooty. Actually, they had several generations of Sooty's who all looked like your cat. We had a male Siamese in the fifties with a cool cat name: Daddy-O. I vote for Sooty.

I am jealous. Maybe someday. I finally got the last child graduated and I thought....MY sewing room! WRONG. One of my other daughters with 2 children is moving and her house isn't ready yet. So they moved in with us until it is. SOMEDAY! Enjoy.

wisconsin 06-20-2010 03:59 PM

We had another Siamese named Jack Rabbit for he could jump straight up in the air like a rabbit.
By, the way, your sewing room is so neatly organized. Care to come and help do mine?

Jingle 06-20-2010 05:39 PM

Very neat room and pretty cat.

GrammaNan 06-20-2010 06:10 PM

Wow!

wvdek 06-20-2010 07:45 PM

Great play space.

hexagonquilter 06-20-2010 09:51 PM

Love it. Especially the design wall. I dream of moving my daughter out (she moved herself just not her stuff years ago) and using her room for a sewing room. Just a dream will never happen cuz her stuff will stay with us forever.
Bummer. Just because they move out doesn't mean their stuff will. And I don't want to rock the boat and have her move back in with her new stuff.

craftybear 06-21-2010 12:31 AM

looks great

craftybear 06-21-2010 12:32 AM

GladGrams 06-21-2010 12:59 AM

You have evoked UN-Christian-like feelings of jealousy and envy!

Lynnc 06-21-2010 02:34 AM

annieshane 06-21-2010 05:44 AM

Great job of organizing. Love the sewing machine at the window and that great light in just the right place for sewing. Your little friend must really enjoy sharing your room.

tinwoods 06-21-2010 06:31 AM

You get a pat on the back from me. I was noticing your sewing machine table, do you get much vibration with it being a "built in" style? What type of insert is it? In other words, please tell us more :->

Linda - K. 06-21-2010 07:56 AM

Great room and so organized! I love both your quilts there. That's one beautiful guy helping you out. I had a siamese cat over 40 years ago and she was a lover.

deborah 06-21-2010 08:03 AM

Ilovemydogs 06-21-2010 02:00 PM

Nice room!

Nona 06-21-2010 02:07 PM

I have just started planning to redo my sewing room. It is in the 3rd bedroom. I have decided to finally get rid of my harvest dining room table which I have used for years as a sewing table. My major problem is too many sewing machines and way to much fabric....but neither of these things will change. I am going to set up 3 permanent sewing stations. My pfaff 1200 machine, my viking mega quilter, and my singer 99 straight stich machine. I have already built a new larger big board which sits on a 2x4 foot table. I'm taking out 2 small chests so that my boxes of fabric will have more room. Its going to take some more planning before I can get it accomplished, but it will be great when its done.
