I had to take almost everything out of my sewing room to shampoo the carpets. So I quickly took a picture because it will not be this clean when I start sewing again. This is my master bedroom. I moved into the middle size room. Who needs a lot of room to sleep? It's only me and the cat (another one to join us soon).

Sharon321 06-18-2010 09:11 AM

Wonderful room

Quilter7x 06-18-2010 09:12 AM

Love your cat, s/he looks like a great companion but also one that likes to get into trouble!

Oh yeah, your sewing room is nice too!

Pam 06-18-2010 09:13 AM

Oh, so tidy, I am still working on mine. You have a nice sewing space and a pretty quilt on the wall.

sandybeach 06-18-2010 09:16 AM

Thank you. Yes, he does follow me around all the time. Especially since we just lost his female companion. But I am getting him a new little female as soon as she is old enough (from the Pound).

mamapeggy11 06-18-2010 09:25 AM

Do you need a room mate-i could help you mess it up - sorry i am in a sassy mood. One ? before I move in- does your cat act up? I live with my son, DIL and GD and I have been staying with one of my daughters that just moved close to us, helping her with setting up her house and my grandaughter's cat is mad at me I think - he pooped in the bathroom floor and throw -up in my GD's bedroom floor - great mess for me...good thing cats have 9 lives bez he's about to lose one. Just kidding, I love that cat and it's a good thing I do! Your sewing room is wonderful - enjoy ! oh your cat is so pretty

sandybeach 06-18-2010 09:31 AM

No, he is ever the gentleman. Doesn't mess up anything, doesn't scratch anything, eats whatever I put in front of him. Loves everyone. But he is very lonely now and yells when he can't find me (even when he knows I am sleeping). Your cat sounds like it is having "moving" issues. They don't like change at all. Put out a couple "temporary" cat boxes and give him lots of love and he will be fine in no time.

shopella 06-18-2010 09:37 AM

look at you'r kitty and his coat is so sleak! I have only ever owned one cat and it was a mix but looked siamese with blue eyes.dad was military so when orders to move came we gave him to grandma and the neborhood went from calicos to siames lol! no problem finding his grands to this day but mice are scarce...a good thing in all the nabors eyes.love youre space too I'm jelous! some day I will have a house then I can have a craft room!

QBeth 06-18-2010 09:44 AM

A design wall! Ohhhhhh, I'm so jealous. My sewing room is on the second floor of a Cape Cod and two walls are only hip ones. Ohhhhhh!!! Great room you have. Now, go mess it up!!

p.s., does your Siamese have long toes? My Rudy, part Siamese, has the longest toes I've ever seen on a cat! And, he screams when he can't find me. Must be a Siamese trait. Your boy is beautiful!!

sandybeach 06-18-2010 09:47 AM

I don't think Koko has long toes. As far as the "talking", that is definitely a Siamese trait. I heard it once referred to as "having a roommate" they talk so much.

sandybeach 06-18-2010 09:48 AM

By the way, I can't decide on a name for the new little girl siamese I am getting. Any suggestions?

QBeth 06-18-2010 09:52 AM

Maybe long toes is just one of Rudy's traits. :-)

Good luck bringing in a kitten for your Koko. I did that for Rudy and they're best buds. Rudy and Baby Peeps are now called the Terror Twins because they love to ambush the other two. A squirt bottle has been very handy.

What does she look like? Personality?

sandybeach 06-18-2010 09:56 AM

She is a seal point siamese. Haven't picked her up yet as she is still nursing at the Shelter.

QBeth 06-18-2010 10:17 AM

Baby Bobbin? ___:-)____

sawsan 06-18-2010 10:32 AM

I'm so jealous ;-) The room is so tidy good u pic before working a design wall! ready and ufo one Ohhh both r wonderful

Pineapple Princess 06-18-2010 10:33 AM

Very nice! It looks so comfortable!

Quilter2B 06-18-2010 10:36 AM

Oh to have so much space it must be wonderful. I don't think I can convince my husband to give up the master when we move into our new home. But he said he would expand one of the others for me if I "needed" it - little does he know that will probably be at the top of his HDL.

sueisallaboutquilts 06-18-2010 10:53 AM

Your tidy room is awesome!!! Now hurry up and mess it. It just doesn't look right lol :D
I have 5 cats and have had many but never a Siamese. Someday I need to get one. So glad you are getting a new companion for your little guy. Poor honey :(
He's beautiful!!
Wait- my cats talk!! One is a calico, 2 are white, 2 are orange tabbies. They all chime in lol

susie0808 06-18-2010 11:00 AM

That is a nice, clean sewing room. I cleaned mine up today, but looking at your's, I think I'll have to go back and clean some more.

Good job!

Cute names- I can never think of any and my husband and kids usually do the honors :D

lallyann 06-19-2010 12:08 PM

lovely room! I wish I had that! We have no extra rooms in our home. My daughters and I dream of building a craft barn (or maybe a craft warehouse! haha) in our back yard---but we would be ever so happy with just a small designated space for crafting! Thanks for sharing. Your organization ideas will come in handy for us!

cwessel47 06-19-2010 12:53 PM

So I read all the posts and no one has suggested the name I have in mind. Nut. Koko-nut. Ok, maybe that's over the top. But mine are Simon and Schuster - so you see how my mind works. Your room looks great. Congratulations! Mine is organized - but not clean.

lallyann 06-19-2010 01:14 PM

How about Cinnamon? Only because my pups (who are ages 14 and 15) are named Coconut and Cinnamon :) I hope your Koko will be less lonely with a new little friend!

lots2do 06-19-2010 02:33 PM

I love your space and I love your quilts too. And your telephone! I loved those kind.

ann clare 06-19-2010 02:35 PM

Beautiful. You did a great job.

littlehud 06-19-2010 06:08 PM

Your room looks great. I love your cat. You are right, who needs a big bedroom if you can have a great sewing room.
