My crumb quilt

I made 4 inch crumb blocks, then combined 4 into a block, and added black and white sashing. I call it It's not all black and white.

Nice! I've been looking for ideas on a layout for my crumb quilt.

very colorful, very pretty. my 8 yo grand daughter is learning to quilt (from me). i promised her next visit i would teach her how to "make fabric", so save all of her scraps. she's excited & this idea would be perfect for her. may i use your idea?

For the sashing, I cut the black and the white at 1.5 inches wide, seamed them, then cut to the size of the side of the block (8.5 inches). The 4 patch cornerstones were made with the left overs after cutting the sashing. |
