My customers come first- by Harriet

I decided that after nine years it was time to quilt some of my own quilts. So..... I put on this challenge quilt I made last month. After doing the top border, I realized at the speed it was going, I was going to tie up my machine for about a month. So....off it comes and on to the next customer quilt.
On the upside, I am in the process of getting estimates to build a new studio, big enough for 2 machines!!!

Very beautiful! Your work is stunning!

I love what you have going on that quilt . Do show your progress. As for a new studio and another machine..... I hope it all comes to pass for you.

WOW, 2 machines would be a dream come true for you! To have the room for 1 long arm machine would be a dream come true for me.:( Love what you started on your quilt!

Jackie Spencer 09-05-2013 05:29 AM

Your quilt will be stunning!! Can't wait to see more. Congrats on your new studio, you work hard and deserve it!!

My eyes are turning green with envy! You have so much talent and your quilting is always beautiful. This one is not exception!

Diane007 09-05-2013 06:13 AM

very nice quilting

dunster 09-05-2013 07:06 AM

Amazing work you're doing! If you get two machines, will one be computer-driven? That's the way one longarmer in our area set up her studio. She can keep both machines busy that way, or have her own work on one while a customer's work is on the other.

Ya I understand the customer comes first. What fun it will be to have 2 machines - wow!! Your personal quilt is coming along beautifully! Hope you can get it back on the frame soon.

Love what you have so far. Do you think you will ever get the opportunity to finish it? I am fortunate that quilting is not my livelihood so I can devote time to one of my own by simply not taking any client quilts for a while. There are also times when I have a lull. It is so much fun to do your own because you can then go all out and not be restricted by a budget.

Akweiland 09-05-2013 10:23 AM

Your quilting is so stunning...i think I say that every time you show one and I see it!

Jingle 09-05-2013 12:22 PM

barnbum 09-05-2013 04:19 PM

Wow. You must have sighed deeply when you decided to take it off.

redquilter 09-05-2013 04:33 PM

You do such gorgeous quilting it's no wonder you need a second machine to keep up with orders. Of course, I'm green with envy that you have one and a studio and will be spinning when you enlarge your studio and really spinning when you get a second machine! But I'm really in awe of your amazing talent! :) :) :)

Tweety2911 09-05-2013 04:35 PM

Your quilting is absolutely fabulous!!

daisydebby 09-05-2013 05:43 PM

Well, no matter how long the process, I can predict the finish on that one...absolutely STUNNING. You're very talented. You probably could very well use two long arm machines! Keep up the great work.

mighty 09-05-2013 06:35 PM

Lilrain 09-05-2013 06:37 PM

My machine now is computer driven. This quilt is all free motion.

twinkie 09-06-2013 02:57 AM

dove 09-06-2013 03:03 AM

Good for you!...you always do amazing work...

Cindy60545 09-06-2013 03:22 AM

If this is the border, & it looks like a Jacob's Ladder block, I can't wait to see it finished! Great job, as always! Congrats on being able to expand & get a 2nd machine too. I'm sure it will also be a Handiquilter! Don't you have the Avante now? Are you getting the Fusion next? Don't forget to post pics in the Organizing thread so we can see the end result.
