My Dead Fish Quilt
1 Attachment(s)
This was my first experience with a zig zag pattern and I didn't realize that you are not supposed to use prints with a one way design - after I did the first two rows I noticed that some of my fish were swimming upside down - My cousin pointed out that is what fish do after they expire!
Anyway I loved the colors on the original photo so I tried to duplicate them as much as possible. I made this quilt for one of the Nurses where I work that does not want to know the sex of her baby - I hope he/she enjoys it and not too many people notice the imperfections! |
How funny!! But there is no "supposed to", remember. Just anal piecing if you wish it!
I LIKE your quilt; with "upside down" fish, it can viewed from either direction. So there! Jan in VA |
Very pretty! The upside-down fish will be right-side up, when the quilt is turned around. :)

I love your quilt and I'm wanting to make one. Love the color selection !

It looks beautiful. We are always learning. Enjoy your pretty quilt!

Well, if you turn the quilt around, the ones that were upside down are now right side up! I think the baby will have fun with the bright colors and lively design. Tell the quilt police to go arrest somebody else!

yes nice... and we will not send the quilt police

What imperfections?!
 |
Your color choices are absolutely magnificent! Who cares what the fish are doing? Maybe they're acrobats. Or maybe they're upside-down catfish. http://freshaquarium.about.com/cs/ca...idedowncat.htm
