Oh Lea, what a good idea! I've purchased a couple to use for those items that I prefer to not put into the dishwasher, but I'd prefer to make them of course. What did you use for batting? How did you keep the layers together, did you quilt them?

I like it! Might make myself one.

Great idea, really cute!!!

Did you use water proof material on top or bottom or not at all. When it gets wet what happens?

Love the idea.

very retro. Love the rounded corners. But I would not stand for no dishwasher. Make DH do dish duty, your dw will be fixed in no time flat! :D

Super cute! I always give my DH one week to fix something. Otherwise, there will be a repairman paid to fix it or as in the last time my dishwasher went down, I had new one delivered (it was 15 years old, time for a new one).

I used warm and natural, Ive seen others use a towel. Its quilted with 45 degree lines in one direction an inch apart.

No waterproofing, when wet I wring out the excess and hang it over the stove handle, looks pretty cuter there too! Theres only the two of us so we don't have alot of dishes as long as I keep them done as we use them. So theres not to much water to absorb.
